Today was the official first day of Spring Break. What a great start to the week...NOT! Lots of wind, rain, and cold temperatures. Doesn't that sound like great beach conditions? Roxy and I decided to go to the beach today. We headed out at 10 this morning and made it to the beach in one piece. (It was a bit windy in the car ride over but that didn't stop us!)
After we arrived at the beach, we got settled in. By settled in, I mean we put down our chairs and couldn't even manage to take our shirts/bathing suit covers off. It was that chilly! After about 20 minutes, it started to feel warmer (or maybe it was just us thinking that) so we revealed our cute bathing suit tops. We were enjoying our books and my iPod when all of a sudden it started to rain! We quickly picked everything up and headed out.

We were planning on eating at the beach diner (if that's what you call it) but since it started to rain, we decided to eat elsewhere. We weren't really dressed for a fine dining experience though. Renato called and we met up with him for lunch. We decided to eat at the Thirsty Marlin. We got there and sat down and were really excited about what we would eat for lunch. Then out of nowhere, a tree falls on a power line and the place loses power. Well there went that idea!
We left and walked across the street to an Irish Bar. We had the best food there! I guess everything was meant to be today because if it didn't rain or a tree didn't fall on a power line, we wouldn't have had the best lunch ever!
It was a very tiring day, as I just woke up from a 2 hour nap. I did manage to get further along in the Shopaholic Book that I am reading. I hope to get that done and back to Jen next week!
